The apostle Paul was not subtle. Speaking to Christians, Paul demanded that we make a choice. The choice is based upon the remarkable spiritual fact that before you accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior you were spiritually dead. As a result of being spiritually dead and separated from God, you made choices in your mind, body, and emotions that resulted in unrighteousness. So change your choices. Since you are alive in God, make choices regarding your mind, body, and emotions that are righteous. Rather than choosing to go against God, make decisions that honor and respect the God you love. Sin shall have no power over you! You are alive; you are free from sin; so make righteous choices.
