Ephesians 6:16-18
Understanding spiritual warfare means recognizing you are in a spiritual war. To prepare, you must suit up for battle. Sports teams, companies, and organizations have uniforms to identify them, unify them, and in some cases, protect them. The full armor of God is that and more. The armor of God identifies a person as a Christian. When we exhibit faith by reading the Bible and praying, it shows others that we are believers. Bible study and corporate prayer also brings believers together. Remind yourself daily that there is a real enemy out to get you. Know you belong to Jesus, and the battle is His. A great warrior is always prepared for offense. Petition God in prayer for the souls of people. Pray without ceasing. Knowing spiritual warfare is real increases the urgency to be prepared. Watch out for the enemy, and constantly prepare for battle.
