Proverbs 13:10
Pride rarely backs down from contention. It is headstrong, selfish, rude, arrogant, deaf, and blind. It is a monster that will verbally beat up our loved ones and then proclaim itself the winner. Pride is the very root of our sinful nature, and it is a willing bedfellow with hidden conceit, an inflated ego, and worldly vanity. If we should hate anything in this life, it should be the devouring monster of pride. The Bible says that God hates pride. The well-advised take their advice from the Master, and wash feet.they homeless serve their spouse, brethren, coworkers, the homeless, and strangers. If there is the slightest contention, they are more than willing to yield, and in so doing they conquer the monster of pride.
