Making a Difference-Matthew 9:27-38

Jesus is our example of compassion. In Matthew 9, we read, “When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd“ (v36). Not only did our Lord notice the pain and hurt of broken people, but He also responded to it by challenging His followers to pray for the Father to send out workers to respond to the hearts and needs of this dying world. As we follow Christ’s example, a heart of compassion for shepherdless people can compel us to make a difference in the lives of others. a world of despair needs Christians who care.
