Stop trying. There’s nothing you can do to earn or deserve God‘s favor. Beware of cheapening costly grace of God by attempting to please Him in your own strength and through your own actions. Every effort to live for God that grows out of anything other than simple faith in Christ ignores His death on the cross and God’s intended grace. So be determined to die and live by faith. Die to your religious labels and your ritualistic lifestyle. Die to your selfish desires and your sinful deeds. Die to anything and everything that keeps you from trusting in Christ alone. And then live…live by faith. Make a decision today to live by faith. Let your relationships, your responsibilities, and even your recreational life reflect your simple, but profound, trust in Jesus. The way of the cross will not always be easy, but it will be worth it
